Fervent Record’s Big Daddy Weave, one of Christian music’s Top 10 most played artists at radio during the past decade, has just scored another No. 1 with “Redeemed.” The single, their second release from Love Come to Life, is one of only six songs to top the Christian AC Monitored chart this year. “Redeemed” has also climbed to No. 2 on the National Christian Audience chart and hit No. 1 on the Christian AC Indicator chart in September. The official music video is also a big hit on YouTube as it is closing in on one million views.

“Redeemed,” written by Mike Weaver and Benji Cowart, comes from a difficult time in Weaver’s life. "I was really at a low point, struggling with my imperfections,” he says. “I felt like God said to my spirit, 'Why don't you let me tell you what I think about you and what I like about you?' He started with, 'I love your heart for people,' and went from there. I was like a broken heap on the floor of my garage. The things He was talking about were not future tense things. He has this 'I love who you are right now' mentality. 'I accept you right now; you need to accept you right now.'"

The single has clearly struck a chord with many people as, in under a year, it is already the third best-selling song they have had since their formation in 2002. Weaver also commented on the great reception of the song, “So humbled by how this song has been received by folks all over the place. It is a huge confirmation from God in my life that He loves to use brokenness. What we see as weakness and personal failure He can turn into victory if we are willing to lay it at his feet.”
